Parent Child Ministry

The Parent Child Ministry originally dealt with infant mortality since historically it has been extremely high in the Mississippi Delta.  Presently, in our area of service, the infant mortality rate is almost zero!   See the recent New York Times Article and the CBS News Article for more information.

Beyond keeping babies alive, and since "babies do not come with instructions", the Parent Child Program offers a lot to the parents in our area.

Terrific Toddlers class meets monthly for 9 months of the year for parents and their toddlers to encourage good and healthy behavior.  Terrific Toddlers meet on the 3rd Monday of each month from 10:00am - 12:00 noon.

MOMS Support is a group for Moms, and meets every Thursday from 9:30am - 12 noon

Home visiting is offered to each mom through her pregnancy until the child is 1 year old.  This has been nationally recognized and has been a key factor for lowering the infant mortality rate.
